Building the supply network Nigeria's kitchens rely on
Foodstuff Store helps businesses and households buy food and beverages directly from trusted farmers, producers, wholesale distributors and vendors.
Our mission
Make food supply more transparent and reliable, by simplifying how buyers and sellers of food connect, trade and deliver across Nigeria.
Our vision
Become Africa's most trusted network for buying and selling food and beverages.
“When the restaurant called to say they were closing, I had to figure out food procurement for myself.”
Before Foodstuff Store, Boma didn't cook. He relied on a favourite local restaurant for almost every meal, until lockdown closed it overnight.
He went online expecting a simple way to buy food. In his city, there wasn't one. Grocery shopping still meant physical, analog sourcing.
That raised a bigger question. If a household couldn't source food easily, what were restaurants, hotels, caterers and resellers going through, buying at scale every day?
Solving it at scale
Boma moved to Abuja to work out how food buying could go digital. The more he studied the market, the clearer it got: businesses faced the same analog sourcing problem, at a much larger scale.
Theft, poor traceability, inconsistent quality, unstable prices and unreliable supply weren't occasional problems. They were daily operating costs.
Foodstuff Store was built to simplify how businesses buy food at scale. We're not only selling food. We're building the digital infrastructure that keeps Nigeria's food businesses running.
